Video

To start with - I was given a script written by client as to what they want to see in the video + references and technical details of their product. I then worked with the client to draft out and then create the video, using a voice actress they liked to narrate the final version.
I modeled, animated and rendered the 3D sequences in Autodesk 3Ds MAX, using the FStorm renderer on 3 GPUs (RTX 3090, 2080Ti and 1080Ti).
The final video with all the elements and VO was created in Adobe After Effects, with the help of Photoshop and Illustrator where needed.
I also recorded a timing test VO for the first draft us Audacity, but it was obviously scrapped later. It was useful to draft out the timing for animation and for the client to spot if any wording changes are needed - all before the VO artist is involved, minimizing costs.

Similar to another video I'd done - this one started with a word document from a client. I used that script to draft the video in AE and 3DS MAX, get the animation approved and then fully-rendered (using FStorm running on 3x GPUs). Like in the other variant - I recorded a draft VO to help with timing the animation before the VO artist got involved.
3DS MAX, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Media Encoder (+Audacity for a draft timing run before final VO was supplied)

While working under Clik Design, I had the opportunity to see this project through, from A to Z.
I filmed the footage bits on-location using the limited facilities Roofspace had in their warehouse and then put everything together in After Effects to produce the final video.
It was quite fun working with the lads involved, especially because they're not really used to being on camera and had to, generally, wing it on the spot 🙂

I was supplied with storyboard and assets for the rest of the video, as is usual, but my expertise was needed to do something interesting with the opening bit, which was decided to be 3D - and I was given the creative freedom over it.
The client passed onto me a physical phone unit, which I measured, took reference pics of and modeled in 3D software. I then animated the 3D model, rendered out the sequences and did the rest of the video as normal in After Effects.
I'm happy with the resulting 3D sequence and it was well-received upon delivery!

This video did not start with a clear goal in mind, nor did we have a lot of time to produce it, so there was a bit of improvisation going on in its production.
I've selected some stock footage to cut together to make things more interesting, created all the remaining assets and put everything together in After Effects. The VO was supplied to us, but I had to perform some denoising, de-echoing and volume adjustment, because it was not recorded professionally.
I think it turned out pretty good!

The goal of the video is to explain to their independent distributors how to process returns on their SpinTouch water testing machine. As such - the client requested it be made simple and fool-proof. As it was meant for internal use - no audio was needed.
If I recall correctly, the little people graphics were modified stock, but everything else (boxes, SpinTouch unit, etc) I had to draw/create myself. Everything was then put together in After Effects, converted to a light-weight file in Media Encoder and supplied to the client.

Since I had to do quite a few of these types of renderings for a dozen designs - I've developed a workflow that allows me to quickly swap out the graphics/colours and the outline of the pin design so I can produce more variations without spending much time trying to model anything. There were 3 individual videos rendered for this video - one for each pin design seen here - which were then imported into After Effects to produce this final short clip for pre-sale marketing.
The visualisation is visually really close to what the final product looks like, which is a testament to my expertise 🙂

The initial visual the client requested was a still image for a brochure, but the client later wanted to turn the scenario into a quick video for their socials - so this animation was born.

This is probably my favourite of the series - simple, snappy, consistent and informative - what more to ask?

I received a brief with graphics explaining what needs to be seen and animated everything in Adobe After Effects.

The graphics and the storyboard were largely supplied, but all the animation and final export were done by me.

The graphics and the storyboard were largely supplied to me (some adjustment was needed), all the animation and final export were done by me.

Made in collaboration with The Agency design agency in Birmingham.

Most of the assets were supplied, the animation work is mine.
I very much enjoyed toying with the island/shark sequence 🙂

The Agency supplied me with a storyboard and assets, which I adjusted to my needs and then animated in After Effects.

I was supplied with the storyboard and the necessary graphics - my job was to turn it into a video. Made in collab with The Agency.

I was supplied with the graphics and the storyboard - my job was to animate everything and create the final video.

They supplied us with the photos and the timelapse footage. A colleague at Clik Design quickly put together the calendar pages and I went on to animate everything in After Effects.

I was provided with the storyboard and most of the graphics by The Agency - my job was to make it all move 🙂

I was supplied with the graphics and a storyboard, had to animate the assets to turn it all into a neat little video.

The idea behind the series is that each produced video would be posted on the corresponding day and show an advent calendar opening up and revealing a prize, which the followers would have a chance to win in a daily raffle.
This video represents December 17th and was made in Adobe After Effects.

This video represents December 25th and contains a holiday greeting from the company.

Short and simple video to explain what to expect from the product package, made to match Network Telecom's branding.

The client wanted something creative, quick and informative. I received a brief with a storyboard from The Agency as usual and started work and it was quite a bit of fun to produce this one! The selected music track is quite fast and has a clear beat, so the typography and graphical elements could be neatly animated to keep up the pace.

This one was produced as a series of videos with different colour schemes matching the Enreach brand (this one is orange, but there is also a green and a purple variation - both with similar graphics, but slightly different text).
Short and sweet - no fuss, no muss.

This video was also translated into multiple languages, including Polish, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Romanian and so on, to make sure their multi-national staff have the best understanding of the training material.
We showed up on location at Roofspace's facilities to take pictures and film the footage required for this video. I then put everything together in Adobe After Effects as usual.
It's not the most complicated nor the prettiest piece I've done for sure, but it serves the purpose well with very clear and simple graphics that anyone would understand. That's exactly what the client wanted, so it was a success!
Warning: The end of this video shows a few images of workplace accidents - viewer discretion is advised.

Retouching & Compositing
I offer professional retouching and compositing services. While my own pictures come retouched at my discretion – I can (and do!) retouch images provided by clients.
Whether it’s a portrait that needs a beauty touch, real estate marketing images that need a clean-up, a new sky or a spot of grass, an interior that needs some furniture/fixtures, a product or, really, anything else – I can help, just get in touch and I’ll see what I can do for you!
Below is a handful of examples of my work with before/after sliders so you can see the changes (note: some pictures are cropped to better showcase the areas of retouching)
